Helix — B2B SaaS Dashboard
A multi-tenant analytics dashboard with realtime charts, role-based access control, and a billing portal built on Next.js and Postgres.
The challenge
Helix was stitching together dashboards in Retool and wanted a real product surface they could charge for — with proper tenancy, billing, and observability. Their first attempt with another agency had shipped something that did not scale past 10 tenants.
What we built
Multi-tenant Next.js dashboard with Prisma + Postgres, tRPC for typed APIs, role-based access, and Stripe-backed billing. Realtime charts stream from a lightweight WebSocket gateway we built on Node + Redis. Every tenant is fully isolated at the database level.
The outcome
180+ paying tenants onboarded in 6 months. API p95 latency of 120ms. Zero-downtime billing migrations. The Helix team calls it "the first time the infrastructure feels like a product, not a tax."
